PART 44 - IN

My knees were in jelly form, squashing and wobbling at each, exertion of strength that surged through my veins, when attempting to capture every pouring ounce of proper balance. The seemingly fading panting, leaped into our ears, like frogs on lily pads, and were on a continuous loop, the further our urgent runs covered the stretching distance. "Arrggh! Arrrgh!" Trakus shouted. "This way" Azoe said. A sharp left corner, thrust the joints in my legs into a rubber band stretch, leaving me clutching into the air for support before finally, swinging like a vine into a running motion, brushing against the dry, sand paper rough, bricks on the wall, that scrapped away at my skin.  A few minutes later into the run, the high pitched, squealing, frequencies of alarm sound, pummeled into the ambience, crushing our concentration, into crumbs, dropping us like rain, into the ground. The faint panting, cunningly crept in between the muffling sounds of the alarm, scratching into the paranoia, crawling up my sweaty body, struggling to keep its squishing jelly legs, from melting away into stopping my running. "Arrgh! Get up! Get up! Let's go!" Azoe said, grabbing my arm as I woke up picking my dripping self, pushing to keep my run up.

"Eyyy, Eyyyy!!" Trakus shouted. The voice, flooded closer, to our vicinity, after our skimpy runs, were swallowed by the trampling steps of Trakus, after each passing minute. Our soles of our feet, couldn't make a step, with rumbling, engulfing the friction, on our shoes, as we tried to escape, the rampant charge. Aggression, burst through the swinging arms of Trakus, sweeping through the rising dust, and whisking near our clothes. A cloud scratching, flight of stairs, sculpted itself in our horizon, and we leaped, into the first few steps, to escape Trakus' clutching hands. We kept, pursuing our balloon bursting gushing urgency, through the flight of stairs, that became a suction of the air in our lungs, leaving us, roping ourselves onto our knees for our salvation. "C'mon.... We....." I said, inhaling every volume of air possible. Weight of tedious efforts, relaxed themselves on the couches of energy, that leaked out of us, through our exertion, and we grabbed out, every checkpoint to seep, relief.

"There's a door right there!" Azoe pointed, as we reached, a few more steps to almost halfway of the flight of stairs. Our viscous flow of our steps, dragged their way to the rusty, metallic door, squeaking, through the alarms, high pitched sound. "This way, we're there" I said to Azoe, as he stumbled, after a few steps. A bright ray, cracked through the key hole of the door, parting the dim light that cast its illumination on the fading light of red, on the alarms. "T...Ti... is.." I heard, a whisper, climbing into the air, as we got to the door.
